Undergraduate Admissions

Oxford's undergraduate degree in the History of Art (BA Hons) is designed to give students insights into a wider range of world art than is available in most other British universities in a single course.  As well as drawing on expertise from the department iself, it draws its expertise from various departments and faculties, and staff from the major University Collections. Further details of this innovative undergraduate degree are available on the overview page.

View our admissions video on YouTube to hear directly from students and Professor Cora Gilroy-Ware about the department and the degree courses.

Prospective students should consult the University's main listing for the History of Art course, which details selection criteria, entry requirements and application procedures. For information regarding the application and accompanying written work, please see our guidance for applicants. To note that deferred applications are not accepted.
