Undergraduate Admissions

Oxford's undergraduate degree in the History of Art (B.A. Hons) is designed to give students insights into a wider range of world art than is available in most other British universities in a single course. It draws its expertise from various Faculties, especially the History Faculty and the staff of the major University Collections, as well as from the Department itself. Details of this innovative new undergraduate degree (the first cohort of students arrived in October 2004) are available through the on-line overview of the programme.

Further information, including the course film, can be found on the History of Art course page of the University website.

For further details about applying to Oxford in general, including different types of qualification, please consult the information for prospective students provided on the University website, email study@ox.ac.uk or call +44 (0) 1865 288000.

Prospective students also should consult information on selection criteria for the History of Art degree in particular, which includes additional specific information about the entry requirements and application procedures.

Please see guidance for applicants for further information regarding your application and accompanying written work. Please note that no deferred applications will be taken this academic year.
