We are delighted to announce that this year the Reaktion Book Prize for an outstanding 1st year Object Essay has been awarded jointly to Harin Turrell and Emma Landon. Harin wrote on Wilhelm Sonman's portrait of Ms Alice George (Wadham College). Emma wrote on Charles Allston Collins' Convent Thoughts (Ashmolean Museum). The Department is enormously grateful to Reaktion Books for their generous support of the Prize, now in its 13th year.
