Teaching and research in history of art at the University of Oxford is carried out by a core staff of academics, all based in the dedicated facilities of the History of Art Department, and also by a much larger number of associated academic staff, who are based in Faculties, Departments, Museums and Colleges throughout the University.  The activities of the History of Art Department are facilitated by its administrative staff, and there are also every year a number of research associates and academic visitors who contribute to the research culture and teaching and research environment.

The Department has a dedicated Disability Coordinator for undergraduate and graduate History of Art students, overseeing the implementation of provision to ensure necessary adjustments are made to meet the day-to-day needs of students with disabilities, in liaison with the colleges and the University's Disability Advisory Service.
